Just curious....looking at some of the ESC\Motor Combos specifications...

(Losi Motors)

17.5T = RPM per Volt (Kv): 1820Kv
13.5T = RPM per Volt (Kv): 2360Kv
10.5T = RPM per Volt (Kv): 3080Kv
6.5T = RPM per Volt (Kv): 4880Kv

Then compare to Novak's:

And LRP
17.5T = KV: 2.3
13.5T = KV: 3.2
10.5T = KV: 3.8
6.5T = kV: 5,400

I don't know about all those numbers but I know my losi motors are more then competative with the rest of the brands.

I would agree as well, I just was suprized on the Kv listed....that's all.

It can be difficult comparing Kv numbers from different motors. Just like with gas engines, each motor has a slightly different power band. One motor may be able to spool out to higher RPMs, but not necessarily make more usable power below their max RPM. See what everyone else is running at your track and ask them how they like it. They may even give you a bit of wheel time to feel it our for yourself.

The inductance readings are all over the board for the different motors according to the ROAR rule book as well for different manufactures. I don't have a good answer for any of that.:confused:

Glad it's just not me then.

I have a 4800Kv Sensorless setup, and Horizon calls it similar to the performance of a 9.5T Motor when I spoke with customer service. But if you go Kv to Kv, it matches up to the Losi 6.5T motor really.....

I like the 4800kv performance, and was looking for a similar in a sensored motor. This is what got me looking at all the ratings.

I am a LOSI loyal customer for years but I just jumped ship!!!

I sold my crawler buggy SC truck and all my xcelorin systems are currently on ebay.

Reason:

Quality for build has not been up to LOSI standards. No need to hate on this post or me I am not going to reply or read any replies.

This info is for all of us guys who stayed loyal to LOSI and got smoked at the track over and over and over.

THE UGLY TRUTH:

Losi systems are SMOOTH and easy to use, but SLOW!

Every other brand system out there is on average 1000kv faster in every turn motor. ESC from other major brands put out more power and there for get you more speed.

Tekin Novak LRP Castle all are faster Turn for Turn.

I have two identical buggies put losi 6.5t system in one and tekin 13.5 in other. After doing the math for the correct gearing and FDR my tekin 13.5 SMOKED my LOSI 6.5 system. NOT EVEN CLOSE.

Here I bought 13.5 losi and got smoked so I bought 10.5 and got smoked by 13.5's so I bought 6.5 losi and still got smoked by 13.5's LMAO

THE TRUTH HURTS>

I did end up running my losi xcelorin system sensored in my on road drift cars and they worked well. Smooth and sealed motor makes keeping them clean a breeze.

I recommend these if you want a SLOW controlled SMOOTH system that looks pretty nice.

I am a fan of the blue and silver!!!!

So to close, TEKIN 4 LIFE!

I am so disappointed with LOSI as a whole that I sold all my LOSI stuff EXCEPT MY TOOLS and now went to tekin for speed controls / TRINITY EPIC DUO 3 for motors / and Associated for my cars and trucks.

I still have my larger LCC crawler, but only becuase LOSI released HD gears and I am using third party everything else.

Sorry LOSI but truth is you should be saying SORRY to US! 39 years old and after years of trying went back to AE!

God bless. I hope this info helps others that keep getting beat day after day and spend money after money wondering why we just cant keep up!
