I don't own a brushless setup so I'm not familiar with the software but won't it run in some kind of compatability mode? If not you could always install a virtual machine in Windows 7 and install a 32 bit OS on it. This feature is also nice because you can surf the internet with it and if your virtual pc gets a virus you just close it like a program and reopen it. Something you might want to look into. You can also get old crappy laptops off of craigslist for a dime a dozen. Of course theres always the field programming card...lol. Hope it helps.

no, they need to get moving and support 64 bit. its a different operating system then the 32 bit.

vista and win 7 have an x86 program folder (i am on win 7 ultimate X64 BTW).i will say that vista is much better than 7 for getting programs to run. i have a venom pro charger that i cannot get the pc software to work but people still using vista can (ticks me off because i upgraded based on the reviews of it being better than vista and now i wish i hadnt (memory usage idle is still the same 60% + and i now i have software and drivers that wont install, i NEVER had an issue with vista). and just an fyi vista installed first go, it took me 4 days to get windows 7 in because of win 7 software and driver issues.

hmm i would say that your pc was not windows seven ready if it took that long to install. i would ask if u ran the windows 7 upgrade adviser but i assume you did not. i've installed onto xp and vista machines with no issues both 32 bit and 64 bit versions after i prepared myself for the process by downloading necessary drivers ahead of time so i was prepared.
either way, the xcelorin drivers will install fine under the 32 bit version of window 7, vista, and xp, it is the 64 bit version of these operating systems that we/you/us are having issues with it refusing to see the usb drivers properly.
you can try to put the program anywhere you want but the drivers will not register in a 64 bit version of windows!
Losi needs to address this issue as having to dual boot any of my several puters with 32 bit xp on them kinda sucks as the 64 bit version is faster and manages memory much more efficiently, so swapping between them has been the case and norm so far.. i despise vista and therefore will not install that onto any of my pc's as i care for them to much to subject them to that kind of abuse.
have fun, enjoy.

Not just multiple versions of Windows 7, but you also need to decide if you are going to run the 32 or 64-bit operating system. Moving to a new computer with Windows 7 is easy. Just start by saying that the PC that's right for you. Simplify your search for users of Windows PCs Scout. For greatest potential for Windows 7, a 64-bit version of Windows 7 is in the right direction.

incorrect my system is more win 7 compatible than most users systems here, even my old pentium D950 rig runs win 7 x64
my system specs are:
evga 780i main board
2 x evga 9800 GTX GPU (graphics cards) overclocked to ssc speeds
q6600 (quad core cpu) overclocked to 3.2GHz
4 gigs of 800 MHz ram
1000 watt PSU
razer barracuda sound card
as you can see my system was not the problm, it was win 7 being a POS O/S made to shut up the whiners that never used vista at all.
the big issue here though is the pc sopftware for modern brushless systems, and chargers is obsolete and made for windows 98/xp and NO company seems to be interested in making their software x64 compliant or win 7 compliant.
i think it is time for teh companies to either make software x64 compliant, or just quit selling products that use pc software since it is useless anyway.

I never could get my Xcelorin USB adaptor to be recognized in Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, so I gave it a try in virtual machine (XP mode) and it works perfectly.

If you are running 64 bit Windows 7 Pro, Enterprise, or Ultimate you can use the free virtual machine (32bit Windows XP) from inside Windows 7 and it should work fine. I used this for several applications myself.
If you are running 64bit Windows 7 Home you are going to have to either dual boot a 32bit OS, load a 32 bit OS instead, or use a buddies computer with a 32 bit OS.
I wouldnt hold my breath on 64 bit OS support, there are tons of other applications out there that do not work on 64bit versions of windows.
