radio in losi 8t 2.0 rtr ?

does any one know what is the model no of the spektrum radio that comes with the truggy? the older dx3s is SPM1330. i know the new ones SPM1340 can support DSM2 technology which is great as spektrum recently annoucned a new marine receiver that works with SPM1340. being that i have a boat to run, it would be great if the rtr comes with the latest Dx3s radio.
any comments would be appreciated.

I am curious also. I have the older DX3S running on four trucks right now. I have three boats. I am interesting in some of those marine receivers as well.

The model number for the radio that comes with the truggy is SPM3140. hope that helps.

I just bought an 8 2.0 RTR buggy and it's the old version. Unless the Truggy is different you will receive the old version as well, but for $50 you can continue using your old one and send the brand new one in have it upgraded then get it back still brand new then sell your old one.

The 8IGHT 2.0 RTR and 8IGHT-T 2.0 RTR both come with the original DX3S, SPM3130.

OK I am confused then because I talked to my rep today and they said its the spm3140 that came with the rtr truggy and buggy.

Todd, I have the 8T 2.0 rtr, I purchased it about a month ago. Can I still send in my DX3S to have it upgraded, even though I have used it a few times? If I can where should I send it, or can I purchase the upgrade and install it myself?

Jim,

The non-marine version DX3S can be sent in to the Horizon Service Center for the marine update. The update is a $50 service fee. It is an internal modification and not user installable. Here is a form that will speed processing.
