Losi products we want to see!

Over the years I've sent numerous emails to Losi via the address on their website... never once did I get a reply.. at least here on their forum, there's a better chance to be heard or at least acknowledged... maybe not by the guys in charge at Losi.. but with my racing peers!

I thought I'd start this thread for us to voice some things we would like to see from Losi.. some perhaps new items.. others that seem to have disappeared when there is still a good demand!


I'll start off with a couple of items we need back!

1/10th scale 4wd IFMAR front tires!
Perhaps they were before their time back in the day when only Losi had a race worthy 4wd (XX-4), but now everybody has one.. and the class is pretty popular these days! Losi still makes IFMAR buggy rears and even the similar Big Shot rears... we need these back! I'm tired of cutting rears up and making fronts to match!

The XXX-4 is still the current kit (as old as it is) and many Losi diehards are even running XX-4 platform.. I see as many of these if not more than XXX-4 cars out there! Nobody likes the LCDs and the regular bones break easy. It is getting pretty hard to find front CVD axles these days. They never (to my knowledge) came separate.. only in the kits.. now you cant get those either!

Oh.. and of course.. a new 1/10th scale 4wd race KIT!

Well.. lets see what anybody from Losi will comment as well as all you racers out there!

Proline have dropped a their line of tires to which I don't understand why. CVD's for the XX-4/XXX-4 would be nice and maybe something like X-Factory/E-Speed and have shock tower braces and steering brace etc.

i want jump jacks, speed racer status, that would be awesome for a company to design a hop up like that, or even a new car, and if it worked good enough they could make bank! (money) maybe its not exactly what was implied but hey.. im a visionary :D

I think it's because the body comes precut... And for electronic you don't need the access hole for the tank and the hole for the motor...

Prolly would'nt work the carb will load up with the angles you would need a presured fuel system like EFI.

Maybe someday WOW EFI Ntiro.

losi had something like that a long time ago but it never took off
you had to buy a xx4 and then buy the truck body and mounts for it. it was pretty sweet

The truck bodies on the XX4's was a class they tried to get started many years ago. It was called "Heavy Metal" but it did not really take off at the time.

How about bringing them back? It doesn't take much to setup and run these if you still have the vacuum plug... it would be pretty easy to sell even a limited run!

I have a suggestion:
How about a solid axle 4wd short course truck? You could use the MRC solid rear axle with the MLST2 front suspension. Make it the same wheelbase as the mini SLash and I think you would have a killer truck! Better yet would be to scale it up to 1/10 or 1/8 th!;)

Duratrax had their Real Race G2 sim... a bit before it's time and only offered cars nobody really raced..lol

Losi if you are listening.... something like that could be a real hit! I know that there are a lot of us that can't make it to the track every week and would still like some wheel time!

Keep it under $200... package it with a durable pistol grip (the duratrax controller was junk). You could feature all the Losi vehicles. This will allow Losi fans, new and old to test out other cars they may not have considered. There are 1/10th scale guys who have never driven a mini, micro or 1/8th scale... there are nitro guys that have never driven electric. You could release updates for new cars!

Something like this could be an awesome seller! Get real fancy and have it be able to run multiplayer... host online races on Losi.com!

I would like to see an 8ight-t E 2.0 kit, a new 4wd eletric 10th scale buggy, a 4wd short course 10th scale and a kit version of the 8ight/8ight t 2.0's. also some plastic trays for the hauler.

I would like to see except for a new 4 and 2wd, a lightweight haulerbag, like the one hpi-racing have. Great when flying so you dont have to pay for so much overweight.

Pre-glued tires would be great to get more people to electric buggy, also moulded foams.

1/10 electric 4wd monster truck with two motors and two batteries.
and a 1/10 4wd brushless trophy truck.
also for the winter months a ski-doo would be killer fun, the ones from radio shack are real junk...but they still sell!
make a good one that doesn't cost much rtr, and have a kit version that is much better and ready for brushless or nitro. i don't know what scale it would be but needs to be at least the width of a 1/10 and probably longer.

Take the L8 and make it a GT. I'm tired of only seeing Kyosho GT2s out there, and it appears to be a growing class. If not, oh well, I'm switching back to my 8T 2.0 anyways.....:rolleyes:

How about a Losi battery that fits Losi 1/10th scale race cars?

Come on guys... did anybody try and test fit the 4400mah 2S 30C Lipo in a XXX-CR??? The side mounted wires don't clear the battery tunnel sides.. you have to grind the chassis to fit it! You can stuff it in a XXX-TCR if you raise the battery up and bend the hold down... In a XXX-4 you have to flip the hold down upside down (as with any Lipo), grind the little nubs down (again as with any Lipo), but then it sits crooked in either direction because of the side wires...

Guessing they fit in the basher vehicles...

How about a little love to dedicated Losi racers??
