View Full Version : Force wheel on Speed T ?

I've looked at the parts explosion for the Ten T. It shows wheel hexes all around. But on the Losi site it shows the Force Wheels for the Ten T next to the standard Speed T wheel in the 320 wheels and tires section. There is no Ten T only anywhere in the description. Will they work?

The reply I got, is that they'll fit the back, but not the front. I assume that means they are slotted like your rear wheels. I'm in the same situation, I have a Speed NT. I am currently researching to see if there's a way to convert the front suspension to accomodate the Ten-T front axles, allowing us to run rears on the front as well.

Get back with me if you figure it out. I think these wheels would look tough with some road rages on my DT.

I just went to look at cutting speed t. front wheel speed, direction, as Traxxas Nitro. So, for Rusty you have to get behind the wheel of four run.I Anaconda just had better luck my brother made his T-speed wheels and tires. If this says something, get rid of the wheel speed values of t and ran about 2.2 road tires Pro-Line.

The rear of the DT and SDT are fairly easy to convert to hex style wheels. I just did the front of my SDT using rear bearing carriers/hubs and the rear outer axle stubs.

Since I posted this I ordered alloy rear hubs and installed them on the front. Left on right front and right on left front.
I am running the Epic Proline bead-loc 2.2 wheels, with Traxxis hexes. I will try to post some pictures hear later.

I would pay to see pics of this...I just can't wrap my head around how you fit rear carriers/hubs to the front of the Speed-T. I'd love to be able to run other wheels/tires though.

I email Losi about this, the response I got is that they couldn't figure out how to make hexes work on the front.
In all reality, it's simple, I just don't have the means to do it. You would need:
Longer spindles
hex adapters machined to fit a bearing
outer nut similar to HPIs Savage wheel nuts
For the back, all you should need is a slotted hex adapter.

I think I see what Snoking is saying now...he took the rear hub that houses the bearings, rotated them 90 degrees and mounted them up front, attaching the steering arms to what was used in the rear as the top camber turnbuckle mount point. Then just put rear spindles through there, and use the same hexes up front like you would in the rear.
A couple of issues I see already though: The hub/bearing carrier piece from the rear would have to be modified to fit up front, as the space is narrower. Just have to grind away some material I assume. Second, the connection point for the steering arm looks to be at a different location relative to the pivot point if you swap in the rear hub. That would be remedied by adjusting the length of the steering turnbuckle, but it would also affect the ackerman angle during steering, which would not be so easily remedied...not sure if it would be that big a deal though.

That is basically it. I cut the CVD bell off rear stub axles. Now have aluminum rear hubs turned 90 degrees right onon left side and left one on right side. Prolinrle 2.2 beadlocs with switch tires. Rustler wide hexes and shims on the axles. So in the place of bearings in the wheels I have bearings in the hubs on the front similar to the rear.
Had to do some grinding on the top and bottom of the hubs to fit them in the caster blocks. Snoking
