8IGHT-T 2.0 RTR Spur gear

Hi,

I've noticed that on all the advertising for the 8IGHT-T 2.0 RTR that it comes with a 50 tooth spur gear. Just wondering if it is a steel one, or is it the new type of plastic, as I have read some not so great things on the new plasticcy clutch bells over the old steel type.

There's no plastic spurs on any of the 8ight vehicles, except the 8ight-E.

Plastic clutch bell?? huh.

oops, I didn't mean plastic, I meant injection molded as opposed to machined clutch bells

It's only the new bells that are injection molded, the old bells and the spurs are all the same to my knowledge.

The wear don't seem to bad with the new bells IMO. The only thing I've noticed is the bearings lasting a lot longer now. Quite a relief on race day that you don't have to check them as often.
