Hi
I've just picked up a 2nd hand JRX-S car (not the type R) to have a play with and I'm planning to drop a 10.5 T Xcelorin combo into it.

However all my other cars run a 48 dp pinion, hence I don;t have any 64dp ones. Rather than buy a load of new pinions I was wandering if it is possible to get a 48 dp spur for the JRX-S and if so, what size to get for a pinion range of 20 to 26 teeth as these are what I have spare.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Mi4,

I have been running the 48p gears on my JRX-S and Type R curs ever since they first came out. The Spurs are totally interchangable between the 2 versions of the car.

Not to sure about what gearing you will need, you will need to experiment, but try to go for a steel pinion.

I used to go through pinions and spurs a lot with the 64p gears, but I used the 48p gears and steel pinions for more than 1.5 years and never needed to replace them on either my or my sons cars.

mi4 the best pinion spur combo should be 25 pinion and 90 spur or at least a decent starting point hope this helps
