To all you guys with racing experience.
I need some help deciding how much tork is needed for stearing and how the speed affects the response. I just bought a Spectrum 3R. I'm looking at Hitec for my first choice or JR. But I don't know what 2.O buggy needs for tork. What do you guys recommend.
thanks , racer::confused:

Racer I would not go with less than 200oz of torque for any 1/8th vehicle
for Jr 9100s is fast and has great torque. Hitech prolly cant go wrong with the 7950

I would get a servo with 200oz or more and the speed around .10 to .16 should be fast for the steering. Just make shure it is metal geared.

i use a 4800t for throttle. its only 162 oz of torque but i have had zero issues. Thats prob the lowest i would go,

Im a BIG Fan of Hitec's.....the Titanium gear set and the top case that seems to take abuse like ive Never seen before would incline me to recommend the Hitec 7955 for steering and if your not too particular on speed for throttle....go the same route or if you want to wait a little while and spend big Hitec is releasing some lipo ready servo's that will Imo be the best on the market....granted they will cost you a pretty penny but unlike any other High end piece of electronics....you pay for the quality and with hitec your getting LOTS of it.
the 7955's retail for 100-120 pending where you shop. :)
