I have a xcelorin 4800kv brushless motor & im running it on a 11.1v 5400 mah lipo 3c.and the motor seems to get hot real quick in 2 minutes depending on how much i press on the throttle.then the car will not move until the motor cools down. i was wondering is the 3c 5400 mah to much power for the motor.losi say it can handle 3c lipos on the features. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!! ANY SUGGESTIONS ANYBODY

It is not the motor, the ESC is doing a thermo shutdown. Try lower gears. Chris

When playing with that much power gearing plays a huge roll in temps.

What gearing u think is best overall for 4800 kv motor

I have no idea. I have never tried to run 3S in a 10th scale car.

20/88. They do not recommend ever running larger then an 18 for 3S though.

Will i damage the esc or the motor if i have larger than 18 on a 3c?

It can overheat the ESC and the motor which will cause damage.

Does'nt if you lower the gear the slower the car and higher means faster? And same goes for lipo's, the more voltage the faster right? If i use 2c that means the car not going to go as fast as the 3c?

X Put the 18 pinion in and run it with the 3s lipo it,ll run cool and still be qucker than you can imagine
