Yes. On both the Mini and Micro Losi cars, the shock are not very good. Sorry, I forgot which brand I'm running on my Micro, but if you shop around they are not very expensive and worth getting.

Buddy I have two sets of the losi oilfilleds and 1 set 3 racing and a set of hot racing, Of all the micr oilfilled I have the losi ons are the best by far. But thier also the most expensive. I had a set of the toyz branded ones, but they were no where nere smooth, and the hot racing ones had springs on em that were probobly twice as stiff as nessissary. good luck with your desicion.

I'm looking for measurements of the Aluminum shocks for the Mini T compared to the measurements of the threaded aluminum shocks for the Mini Late Model.
The late model shocks are all the same length but the Mini T shocks are different front and rear.
Are the late model threaded shocks the same as the rear or front aluminum shocks for Mini T or a different size altogether?
Thanks

I bought a mini t rtr about three days ago, such a blast.... but it is definitely a must to upgrade to oil piston shocks. My mini T went from a tyco toy to a real car. it flies on the trails here in Arizona without any hiccups.
i'm using the losi team factory upgrade, came with pick front springs and silver rears. I'm running it with associated 30W oil. I've never setup an oil setup before (new to RC), but from opening the package to actually driving the car took about 20 minutes. bleeding is super easy, just follow the directions or watch a couple of youtube videos.
Next project will be titanium turnbuckles, MIP CVD set, mamba micro pro 5400, ceramic transmission ball bearings, ball diff
havn't decided on electronics other than the mamba micro pro 5400. I want a 2.4GHZ spectrum setup with everything lipo
other thoughts...
Unless you have a bling addiction, aluminum supports, frames, and brackets are not necessary, just adds weight.

Well I have a set of those shocks which I've tried on the Mini-T so can give you an answer.
The Mini-slider threaded shocks do look uber trick and come supplied with four orange springs, the same orange springs in length and tension that come in the optional Losi Mini-T front spring set.
The barrels (hard coated alloy) and shafts (Ti-Nitride coated) are the same size front and rear which are also the same size as the Losi Mini-T Pro front items.
This means that if you plan to use them on the rear of a Mini-T and fit the longer shafts you will have problems in that the barrel is not long enough for the shaft. If you run the Mini-Slider shocks out of the box they are fine for on-road/flat track use but off-road the longer travel (and increased oil volume) Mini-T Pro oil filled shocks offer a performance advantage !
