Thanks for the info also can you still buy upgrade parts for xxx nt
Any instructions on disassembling this engine i want to replace the crankshaft and clutch nut, if its worth it!!
The engine is only on tank 12 and suddenly a week after non driving the flywheel was not catching (just free spinning on the bump star) so i figured i would tighten the clutch nut.. this worked for 1 start then the nut backed out again, so this time i over tightened it and i think the thread is now stripped !@#$!!! prior to my realizing that it could be stripped i added lock tight to prevent the nut from backing out, now i cant remove the nut in order to inspect the crank, it just spins the piston, flywheel wont catch...Is there any hope can anyone tell me how to remove the nut without damaging the piston??
Can i send the engine back to have losi replace the shaft? this should not have happend so soon ( only 3 weeks old, about 12 tanks including 5 very slow break in tanks )
im i the only one this happened to ?
help please!!

tazz18- Yes. http://www.losi.com/Search/Default.aspx?SearchTerm=TQ
Ace- I'm sure the crankshaft is fine. It sounds like you slipped the collet. You should be able to double up a zip tie and put it in the exhaust port to lock the piston. Then try to remove the clutch nut.
Thanx that was the problem, but i have gone through 2 more since then!.. is it the bump start wearing the collet down? will try priming with a syring before bumping to limit time on the bump starter
