I have an 18.5 Goat 2s in my LCC and it gets way to hot. Only getting 10-15 mins out of my 7.4v 1650mah batteries? Anyone have an idea why?

Is your battery a Lipo or Ni-mH?

What pinion gear do you have?

Are you driving it into the rocks and forcing it through while it's binding hard?

Running a 12t and Lipo on the 7.4v I was warned not to throttle it when it is bound. I use my dig alot, it just gets way to hot even when Im just drive it around on flat ground

Maybe try a 3s lipo. The heat build up is from the battery dumping really hard trying to get over the rocks.

I know they say the Goat 2s won't take a 3s but a BEC like the one's from Castle Creations will make it work.

I run a Goat 2s in my Scale rig with a BEC and run 3s with no issue, geared the same as you and get about 35-40 min of fun out of it.

For the price of a BEC and 3s you can't go wrong.

Also: I'm sure you Worm and Spools are the correct cut?

I am running a BEC and had a friend tell me to get a 3 cell batt. Ill try that and let you know if that fixs my issue. Thanks!

It will help a lot. I run 2s once in a while and it gets warmer then a 3s because of the binds.

Let us know.
