sould i get a desert truck

im thinking about buying a desert truck for bashing and ocasional racing but mostly bashing ive got a b44 for racing is it a good truck

Since the desert truck is essentially a specialty version of the XXX-T, it will work very well for you... If you were more focused on racing only, I would encourage you to go with a straight up XXX-T -- not as special looking, but they have the ball diff, etc. that you want for hard core racing...

Better off in the long run purchasing a 2nd hand xxxt mf2 or cr off ebay that way you get graphite/ea3, titanium turnbuckles, ball diff etc. I use my MF1 pretty hard and never broke anything

After seeing Gary and a couple others from Losi testing the Strike at our local track, I have to give it the nod. That truck is LOSI durable and should stand up to pretty much anything you can throw at it. You could still race it in the SCT class and have a blast! The mid motor, high ground clearance and covered tire/wheel to keep it from getting hung up on stuff are all pluses for a basher.

Go desert truck i got mine for bashing and run it on the track every weekend and run as good if not better then the guys with the cr i love mine!

I've been running and racing a desert truck for almost a year now and love it. It is competitive at my local track and I love not having to fuss with the diff all the time. I also have a XXXcr buggy and seem to do lots more work on it to keep it race ready. The desert truck is great for bashing around the street with the tires provided but if you want to go bashing with other short trackers than I'd got buy a short tracker cuz they will break your DT in an impact.
