did ur friend give u the binding plug for the car if so call losi and they can tell you how to rebind it. its really easy to do. u plug the binding plug into the reciever where it says bind then turn the speed T on then turn on the radio and wait for the lights on each to go solid. Hope this helps

If you did not get the manual with the SPEED-T you can click here (http://www.losi.com/Products/Support.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0101) to find it on-line. Here are the instructions for re-binding the transmitter to the receiver:

Re-Bind Process
1. Ensure that the transmitter and vehicle are both turned off.

2. Using the supplied Bind plug (which looks like a standard receiver plug with a short wire loop installed), insert the Bind plug into the receiver slot labeled “BIND.” When you look down on the receiver slots it is the slot furthest from the LED, and nearest to the corner of the receiver. Note: You do not need to remove any other plugs to rebind.

3. With the bind plug installed, turn on the vehicle. Notice the LED is now blinking.

4. You are now ready to turn on the transmitter. You should notice on the back of the transmitter a similar blinking LED under a translucent cover.

5. Both the receiver and transmitter LEDs will stop blinking and be on solid, indicating that they have “Bound” themselves together.

6. Turn off the vehicle and then the transmitter.

7. Remove the “bind” plug from the receiver.

8. Turn on the transmitter and then the vehicle to ensure operation. If the transmitter does not control the vehicle, please repeat steps 1-7 above. If after several attempts you are unsuccessful please call Horizon product support.

9. The bind process is complete. Your vehicle’s radio system is now ready for use.

I hope this information helps you out! Enjoy your SPEED-T.

I seriously doubt rebinding the radio to the receiver has anything to do with your problem, but I guess it won't hurt anything either...

It sounds more like the ESC may be set for LiPo cutoff, but you may be using a NiMh battery...?

Listen man i had the same issue with a revo i bought a while back it was as if the gas just stops when i floor it and its basically if you gas it then it goes about 10 feet then just dies off and i thought i had a serious problem and it came to be that the throttle servo was defective as it would work if the truck is off and i could watch it open and close the carburator but then when your driving it the vibration causes it to fail and its weird i know but as soon as i replaced the servo it was fine and we tested the defective one on another vehicle just to make sure and it did teh same thing so yea why dont you try switching the servos around and see if the vehicle accelerates and if it does you know its the servo and even better if you have an extra servo laying around then you dont have to switch them around but honestly it may work just fine as a steering servo because when steering you dont steer forever its usually a few seconds at most but when your acclerating the servo stays open as long as it takes until you let off the throttle so just try that and see if it helps

I don't think it will help him much being that the speed-t is electric-brushless.

Sounds to me that he does not have a battery that is up to the task of a brushless setup. You need a good battery or the truck will do what you are seeing. Get a new quality 4600 or 5K battery. Chris

sounds like a problem with the ESC or motor. Also, try reprogramming the radio to the esc. If you dont have manual, you can download one from the losi website under the support section
