Hey all! This is my first post here. I'm normally on the Monster Traxxas or Ultimate Traxxas Boards but this is a fresh new place to chill.

I'm going to make a Mini-T from scratch with upgraded aluminum parts and custom ones too. I have some 2'' wide aluminum plate that I would like to make the chassis for the Mini-T with. Since I don't have one I was wondering if somebody could help me out and tell me the length of the stock chassis? This would really be helpfull! I plan to start work on the chassis immediately, but launch the car project after I finish my Rustler, Slash, and 4x4 Stampede.

Best Regards,

Cubic

I have a late model 1/18th due in the next few days. It is essentially a longer Mini-T chassis. I can scan the chassis on my scanner for a template if you like.

Thanks, but I would like to fit a Param X-Citer Buggy Body on it and they are made to fit the stock Mini-T so I think the chassis would need to be the same length.

If you run brushless running a stock chassis be sure to keep more stock chassis in your parts bin(they will break). or just upgrade to a more stable chassis.

Eh! Did you read it? I do plan to make the chassis out of aluminum, I just need to know how long.

You will hate yourself if you dont make the chassis longer, especially with brushless. Use the mini late model slider chassisas a template. Been down this road...

Where do I get the template? Will a Parma Mini-T body still fit?

Do you mind measuring how long the chassis is for me?

Not sure if the body will fit.....I can get you a template mid next week when my late model shows up, and I can scan my Mini-T later tonight possibly.

If you use a mini slider/late model chassis it will not. Mine was a mini ramuninition. Mini LST, will fit. It is ALOT longer and drives so much better. Check out my pictures and you will see.

If you set the print size to Specified Size (6.40"), maintain aspect ratio it should be dead on.

The chassis is 6-3/8" from the top of the photo, to the bottom. I included the lower front piece as well as it shows screw locations.

Easy enough. I can do the same with a Mini Late Model later in the week as well. But it should just be a bit longer.

I'm sure it handles better, but I need this body to fit.

As promised...1/18th Late Model Chassis:

Set print height to 7.50" and it measures up to scale.

Is is custom?

Y2KGTP

Is is custom?

Nope, that's the stock chassis. They give you 2 battery mounting locations as it's an oval car. Center and offset on the left side.

Ahh, thanks but I'll stay with the stock length.

I have a stock length mini t it handles great I run mine in the sand alot over at the lake. of course I am running a 400 mini rc plane motor in mine and I have a tamiya esc and a futaba radio system in the truck with a hitec agressor radio. Mine also has the oil shock upgrade which also helps it handle better as well..
