Hey guys,
Just wondering what motors to upgrade this car with. I already have the insane 370 motors. I'm looking for something even quicker. If you guys have any suggestions that would be great. And if I was to go Brushless what electronics would I need to replace?
Thanks!

Are you ready to spend hundreds of dollars fixing the stripped differential over and over again like the rest of us ?!? You are in a treat !
Try Castle Creations' Mamba 20mm brushless motor 6800kv should be good. With brushless you need a new speed controller (aka ESC). I would go with the Mamba Micro Pro 1/18 controller. That can drives both brushed or brushless motor so if you want to swtich it back you can. Check out b-p-p.com, they have good price. Receiver, Transmitter you could use the same you have now. No need to get 2 brushless motors thou, 1 is enough.

Thank you so much!!! I have upgraded to a ball diff and viscious metal gears for the front and back also. And I have the evotec single servo conversion. I am hoping this will be enough to run brushless pretty flawlessly. Do you think any higher KV ratting would be overkill for this truck. Also do you think I should look into a brushless motor that maybe has a little bit bigger can besides the 20mm? Do you think 20mm will work too hard moving this truck since its naturally heavy. Haha sorry for all of the questions.
Thank you!

I personally run the mamba 6800, I had two in there but couldn't keep it together. One 600 does pretty darn well. I'd stay away fron a single 8000, it least mine didn't do so well ( not enough torqe) although I have buddies that use them all the time. the 5400 on three cells is a blast!

Hmmmmm. What do you think is more fun. The 6800kv or 5400kv? What's your run time with a two cell lipo at around 1500mAh?

My personal findings are this, a 6800 on two cells is fast enught to keep me entertianed on the ozite track We race on. But lasts some of torque needed to bash. If I gear the 6800 down to 16 tooth pinion the temps go way down but so does the speed. The 16 tooth pinion on the 6800 with three cells is insane speed but really needs to be geared down more to combate heat. I took the 5400 with a stock pinion and a 3 cell and its plenty fast and has enough torque to rip the wheels off. Do wheelies everywhere and climb anything. Its my person favorite to bash with. But the added cell is noticeable sitting on top of the chassis and is condusive to roll overs. so at the track I stick with the 6800 on two cells.
As far as runtime estimation of 8 to 10 minutes on the 6800 with a two cell and a thunderpower 1320, maybe 15 minutes on the 5400 with a 3 cell thunderpower 1320. the 5400 is way more efficent.
