I just purchased a Losi 8IGHT 2.0 buggy and and the rpm sensor dose not work. Do I need to setup something or what do I need to check. I'm using a spektrum DX3S control. Please help!
Be sure to check your Zoom and Rollout settings to make sure they match the factory settings.
The factory settings can be found on losi.com on Buggy RTR product page under the Resource tab:

Thanks I will try that and is there anythimg I need to do or check on the buggy?
It is an infrared sensor that reads reflective light so two things you might checks is 1) its positioning and 2) clear any dirt that might be interfering with the sensor.

Thanks for your help guys. But I beleive it is the positioning of the sensor because it sits on a slight angle. So I need to know how far away does it need to sit from the shiny sticker on the centre diff???
I tested the sensor by waving the spare shiny stickers in front of it. It all seems to work then, but when I put the car back together it does not work.

The sensor should be 1/8" from the reflective tape. Any further you may experience problems.

I purchased 3 8ight 2.0 RTR for myself and some friends - Out of the box only 1 of the RPM sensors worked.
The fix for us was to take off the radio tray then remove the RPM sensor place another small piece of servo tape on the sensor then screw it back on. :D Hope this helps

Thanks for your help. The extra bit of servo tape fixed it and the right settings on the spectrum DX3S control helps too.:D
