I recently purchased Mini T for dirt cheap. Looking for advice or suggestions on what other people have done to their T's. Lets see and hear what you got and did

For a cheap, easy upgrade, the Venom Fireball 370p motor at about $10 shipped is a quick and cheap way to improve performance. You can use the stock electronics with this motor.

For a really big increase in performance, check out the EZRun 25a/7800kv combo. The combo runs about $55 shipped, but you've got to upgrade to a standalone receiver and change to a three-wire servo, all of which can be done for less than $40 with careful shopping. I'm using the Traxxas TQ transmitter with the Traxxas 2216 receiver (less than $20 used) and the Hitec HS-55 servo ($15 from Tower Hobbies). The Traxxas combo GREATLY improves the range over the stock setup.

I also recommend upgrading the stock tierods and adding better shocks. I prefer the GPM brand for both.

A cheap tire upgrade are the discontinued Pro-Pulse tires. Unfortunately they're all gone from the Radio Shack shelves (a lot of us bought them for 97 cents for a pack of four), but even on eBay at around $10, I think they're still a good deal.

I got my mini t for free from a friend of mine it had the stock esc/rec in it no motor or servo. I changed the electronics completely I went with a 400 mini rc plane motor a tamiya esc and a futaba mini rec. and a 3000 4 cell battery pack mine runs around 35mph. I use a hitec Agressor Radio to run it. I think it is a real blast to drive and it is very competetive at the local track....

I have been doing some hop ups and a few repairs on mine. got the hs-55 servo and realized it was meant to run on a 6 volt pack. unfortunately all of my packs are 7.2 volt. what packs are you guys running?

Are you running the stock steering servo or the Hitec HS- 55 Feather? I have some 2c Lipos for my MRC and ran one in my beater Mini T, but it has the stock servo

I've run lipo with both my upgraded Mini-T's wth the Hitec HS-55 servo and my "regular" Mini-T's with the stock servo. Both worked fine with lipo.

The stock servo has a four wire lead and the HS-55 has a three wire lead. Do I just match up the black leads and go from there? Not even worry about the fourth pin in the ESC/RX? Any of you guys running lipos use any additional heat sinks for the motors? I ran a 2c 850mAh lipo and fried the motor, :(

This is one of the "issues" with the Losi Mini-T electronics. If you change the servo, you're going to have to change to a separate esc and receiver and vice versa. To go with the Hitec HS-55, you going to have to change out the esc/receiver combo to a "normal" setup.
