My 1/10th sensored Xcelorin ESC decided to lose its calibration just in time to cost me a start in the A main. I was able to recalibrate but by the time I had it diagnosed and corrected it was too late to make the main. There was no issue with the steering calibration, battery voltage was fine in all the equipment, and I am using a futaba 2.4 FASST transmitter/receiver system so there were no glitching issues. I have been using this Xcelorin ESC/motor system for almost a year and made no recent changes to affect it. I am on the latest firmware version. It previously has lost the profile setting a couple times which also cost me a race, which is why I updated the firmware a month or two ago. I have noticed that it arcs a slight spark sometimes when plugging in the Dean's battery connector. (yes, the ESC power switch is off before the battery is unplugged and still in off position before the battery is plugged in). The best i can describe it is like a static zap, but i am standing on cement and on a wooden bench and will do this in hih humidity so it is not actually static. Is this normal behavior or perhaps due to the capacitor? This is disappointing and frustrating.
