Hey, new here. Will soon be acquiring a losi 8ight buggy. I want to know if it's possible to convert to truggy from its original buggy state.
Thanks ;)

It's going to pricey to convert a buggy to truggy.

Differences are:
Chassis
Front and rear center cvds
Two sets of left and right cvds
Arms
Shock towers
Longer rear shock
Body
Truggy tires and wheels

It's going to cost between $300 to $400 if you buy your parts from your LHS.
Cheaper if you Ebay. Good Luck.

You will also need different ring and pinion gears front and rear as well as a 50 tooth spur gear. The gearing change will compensate for the larger diameter wheels and tires. You're really better off just getting a truggy. There's not going to be much that you can use if you convert your buggy. You can pick up a good used roller for $250, which would be way cheaper than buying all the conversion parts.

Thanks Scott, I forgot them:p Add another $80 for front and rear ring and pinions.

No problem Aaron. You been painting lately? I haven't seen any of your stuff on RCTech for a while.

Scott,
I have not been painting as much as I would like. Alot of the bodies I do are for local friends and racers, they usually want copies of what they see on the forums or the magazines. So I don't post alot of them because I don't want to offend the original painters. Right now I do have about 10 bodies that I have to do in the next couple of weeks.

Here is a matching pair I did for my friend. Credit to Pound-it-Paints for the original theme.

Thanks for asking, Keep up the great work my friend and Happy Holidays.

Sounds like you're staying busy; that's good. I know what you mean about copies, but thankfully, most of the people that ask me to paint for them want something original.
