I have a kind of complicated question for you guys. How can I get less body roll with my xxxcr edm (all stock chassis parts) with out loosing steering ability. My car is pretty hooked up but I am needing to cut down on the body roll to keep the left rear on the ground and the body off the ground aswell. I know I could cut the body but, with the left rear coming off the ground I don't feel the need to because the one wheel drive is a little bigger issue. Thanks.

Considering you are probably running on loose dirt ovals like Bonner Springs, Fastlane and the new track in Platte City these are some ideas you might try:

Where is the front camber link mounted on the inside and outside? Can you shorten the link as well as raise it up on the inside .030 to .060 to limit the roll but still have the steering you need?

Is the track smooth enough to run a little stiffer oil to slow the transition down? On my electric sprint I have 45wt oil in the front and 50wt oil in the rear. Now this is with IRS shocks and Associated pistons but if you are running say 56 pistons you could go to 35wt front and 40wt rear. This will slow the transition down not only from the front end compressing it will also slow down the rear shocks from going to full extension.

How much ride height are you running right now? The lower you run it the less the car will try to dump over but you will loose some side bite. If its kept balanced front to rear it might help the overall roll.

How much is the left rear coming off the ground? On my nitro/electric sprints as well as the L8ight I always run more droop (down travel) on the left side, especially the left rear so that once the car does roll over for the steering the left rear will still stay in contact with the track surface driving the car forward. Tighten the rear diff as well helps because it will send more power to the right rear even if the left rear is unloaded some.

What tires are you running? Tires are a huge factor in the loose dirt oval scene. There are times that an M3 compound is too much and a Losi Red front actually works better and calms the car down with no loss of steering. Places like Fastlane and Joplin a red 7202 front tire works fantastic. For the rear a red X3000 or red X2000 works well at Fastlane. You may want to try pinks at the new Platte City track since it has so much clay and moisture in it. I bet some pink 7206 fronts with pink BK Bars on the rear might be really nice.

DuBro parts + K&D piano wire = make your own
(been doing it for years) ;)

I've done it for other cars, but the unique design of the XXX front sway bar makes it hard to recreate from scratch... That means you have found a new design... Pictures?

Two small ball cups and a long set screw for the uprights. Then the dubro for the wire ends. Bend the wire. That is all that the Losi setup really comes with.

Actually, the front sway bar uses a trick hardened steel pin that slides into the A-arm, and then the sway bar slips into a neatly drilled hole through the pin. This creates an elegantly simple, but effective sway bar. Hard to replicate, so I wanted to see what the alternative home brew design is... ;)

Front sway is a different issue. I will give you that.

I was running my front camber links at 3-b but I switched it tonight to 1-b and that really helped. But first I switched the vla from short to long and that also helped. But I still have a little too much roll. I was thinking of trying heavier oil. I don't remember the name of the front tires but the are a losi red 3 rib, and I am generally running losi pink taper pins. Currently I am only running at skips on platte. I am thinking of getting some losi pink taper pins for the front, but not sure if I need them.

A guy on a different thread said that I should use 57 pistons. So I will try that, if that doesn't help all that much I will try heavier oil.
