I'm a longtime LOSI owner (jrx2 all the way up) and have allways been and still am impressed with ALL the vehicles. I purchased my newest addition ,the Strike BND about 3 weeks ago. I ran a 2 cell 7.4 volt 5000 20c Losi Lipo pack and a 4600 nimh gp pack through it in the stock form and was happy with the results. Great "scale" look to the truck in the turns and jumps . I will be the first to say that this class of r/c vehicle is a different beast compared to other classes , and a little change in driving habits is needed to succesfully maintain good lap times on dirt ,(or keeping it right side up on concrete) . Once this is accomplished ,this truck is a strong competitor and i look forward to some much needed "upgrades" to hit the market.

That being said,I too suffered a few battle wounds along the way. I have broken the front left upper turnbuckle 3 times ,and have now switched to using Traxxas Jato Turnbuckles(they come prerigged and are a little bit beefier) and have only bent 1 since the switch.
I also broke the bottom shock end on the same side .
I did infact ,obviously, run into the end of a 4 inch pvc pipe at 3/4 throttle , somewhere in the first week of having the truck ( change in driving habits recognized and adjusted...)
Yesterday, i had to replace the center drive gear in the transmission ( it disintegrated into a fine aluminum dust that i still cant clean from my fingernails) ,and both of the diff outdrives.(they had large gouges in them from the dogbones )
This i can only guess is from me upgrading to a Losi xcelleron 4800kv brushless system about a week ago. ( I have the drag brake and brake at its lowest setting and have it almost tuned out completely through my transmitter, along with the timing set at its lowest setting to give me longer run times, and im running the stock pinion of 20teeth)
any how, i changed out the parts, and will be monitoring these situations/parts throughout my next couple of weeks of bashing and racing.

I have also noticed a problem with my steering servo not powering up when the speedo is turned on. Almost everytime i turn on my system i have to unplug the servo from the reciever and plug it back in ,then the servo clicks on. this is a bit of a drag.I guess this will have to be upgraded to a "hitech" before long.

on a last note, when running the stock speed controler, motor combo , i had a constant "chug" or hesitation when coming off of throttle and back onto throttle ( no brake being applied). I thought it to be either a reciever issue or a speedo issue. This is one reason i so quickly upgraded to the xcelleron brushless system. upon switching the system to brushless , this chug or hesitation ceased to exist. Leads me to the decision that there is an issue with the stock speedo.

This all being said, i have 2 lipo packs charged and am ready to go tear up the local dirt lot this afternoon in sunny S.Florida...
I'll keep everyone posted on my Strikes conditions.... :)
