I had a little bingle at racing yesterday and broke my left Spindle Carrier. Not a big deal, I thought.

I went to my spares and found 5 right Spindle Carriers and no left ones. I guess it is just bad luck that I have broken so many left carriers, but it really brought home that the Suspension Components in the JRXS R's are just so BRITTLE.

I have searched and no one seems to making any alloy parts for the car. There has got to be someone who makes something that can prolong the life of the suspension of these cars.

Any ideas anyone?

We just started running 1/10 TC cars at our track this year. There are two of us with JRX-s cars and we both break the front suspension every run. I know what most will say, learn to drive...LOL. But when learning you sometime clip corners. If anyone has any tips or know of hopups as suggested that would be great..

Todd are you listening to this?

The type of plastic that Kyosho, Xray and Tamima (to name a few) are using can take incredable hits without breaking.

Is it possible to produce optional suspension components out of plastic, for those of us who have trouble keeping up with the breakages.

I dont know if the molding process is far enough different that you could not reuse your current equipment and molds. But these are racing vechiles and are only bought by people who are going to run then right on the limit against other people who are pushing their cars. They will get hit, they will have bingles and we can't win with only 3 wheels.

Just to let you know, I asked 3 Racing if they would be willing to add parts for the JRXS to their list of products.

And as expected, the answer was no.

Todd, if you are listening, you are our only hope.

Two things.

First get the Parma hard bumper. It will help protect the front end better.

Second, look at the threads of the axle after you put the nut on. If there is a lot of thread there you could trim that down a little bit. If it sticks out to far it could reach out and grab a board and help tear things apart.

I hope this helps.

Great. Thanks Bret.

Only 2 parts that I go through a lot of are the caster blocks and lower arms. Graphite parts are very rigid but boy are they brittle.

TC4 blocks will do the trick, all we need now are replacement arms and I will be a happy man.
