I just got my Micro-T today and I am getting terrible battery time. Its fully charged (red light is off) I adjusted the motor as per the video, read thru everything here on the forum - will get a set of bushing tomorrow as well.

I am getting about 2-3 minutes of charge then its worthless! Is it worth getting a better battery pack and brushless motor?

Any help in this area would be great - I am kinda getting frustrated with how short the fun time is and how long the charge time is.

Thanks,
Greg

Check out thetoyz.com they have a lot of micro parts, and good batteries that can be charged with the stock charger. Yeah racing has a pack of 2 batteries for a good price.

Also, make sure the batteries in your charger are fresh.
If those are weak, the charger will give you a false peak of the car battery.
In other words, the light will go off even though the car battery is not fully charged.
In fact, this is actually a good way to know when your charger batteries need replacing.
You should be getting about 8 minutes per charge, give or take, depending on how you drive.
Good Luck.

Is the micro new? If so I have found that most of them have the tranny case screws to tight. Take a small screw driver and slightly loosen the screws that hold the tranny together. I had a friend that bought one new, I loosened the tranny screws and his run times doubled.

Loosen by about 1/4 of a turn, grap a rear wheel and turn it before and after, you will notice that it turns easier and that you will not feel the grind of the spiders as much.

Also get a set of wheel bearings this will help too.

x2, out the box stock them gearboxes are real tight. after some runs, your diff will get broken in and spin more freely also.. im sure when you run it than let off the throttle it just stops right away.. so yes, loosen the gearbox and try again. as the diff gets broken into more, you will start to roll alot more (few feet, with bearings) when letting off the throttle. wheel bearings is a good and 1 of the best upgrades. Also with your batt pack, run it down (only with nimah) all the way until it dont move anywhere on the ground. After a few times of doing this, the pack will hold a better charge for longer runtimes. If you are good at soldering, id say to do the 12v 500mah acdc mod to your stock charger, so than you always get a good charge instead of using them aa's.
