Hello
I was looking at my 8ight-E and noticed that the front shock cap was not tigtened all the way. Shock oil was leaking from the shock and dirt had collected on the shock body. After taking the shock apart and preparing to rebuild the shock, I noticed the shock cap would not tighten all the way down. Meaning it would not reach the ring at the bottom of the shock threads. I took off the other shock to compare shock cap threads. I used the other shock cap on the shock in question and it would not tighten all the way down. Ok so now I am thinking the shock body has a bad cut thread near the bottom. Not the case. The shock does not have as many threads. Very stange. I have included a picture. And before you guys say "well it it because you have the shock rotated differently" think again. I know thread and every time I measure and count the one shock has less threads. Also for someone that knows machining or has good vision will clearly see there is a difference. I am suspecting I am not the only person with this problem.
